My Miki Beach scored a 10-1 upset victory in the $27,397 Delaware Special Handicap on Monday, April 27 at Harrington Raceway, remaining undefeated in three starts at the track this year.

Looking for a third straight win, Hundred Dollar Man (Montrell Teague) left the gate aggressively from post seven and marched to the front in an opening quarter of :26.3. Hundred Dollar Man led the field through the half-mile in :55.3 and three-quarters in 1:24, while My Miki Beach (Troy Beyer) awaited room off a perfect pocket trip. My Miki Beach shot up the pylons down the lane, forging past the pacesetter in mid-stretch and scoring by a nose in a blanket finish for his third straight triumph for owner-trainer Ryan Bailey. Wager On Me (Mike Cole) was second with Stevens Saloon (Jason Thompson) third.

My Miki Beach, a seven-year-old Always B Miki-One For The Beach gelding, recorded his fifth win of the season in 14 outings. He is now 21-for-102 lifetime. The win price was $22.80.

Michael Kimelman and Joseph Costable's Portugal The Man ($65.60, Russell Foster) was an upset winner in the third race. The four-year-old Well Said-Brazilian gelding, trained by Kimelman, notched his first win of the year in 12 outings off a stalking trip in which he upended the 3-5 favourite with a strong stretch surge.

Art Stafford Jr. had 4 wins on the 15-race card, while Pat Berry drove a trio of winners.

Racing at Harrington will continue on a Monday-through-Wednesday schedule with post time at 4:30 p.m.
