Schooner duplicated his wire-to-wire winning effort from opening day at Truro Raceway on Sunday afternoon, scoring by one length in 1:58.4 in this week's top pacing class.
Driver Darren Crowe sent the heavy favourite to the lead from the outside post six this time and held off the pocket-sitting Bonnys Mac for the victory in the $1,275 seventh race feature with Power Ram seven lengths back in third.
Schooner earned his fourth win in a row, with his streak going back to the first of December 2013 for trainer Fred Saunders and owner Anthony Beaton.
For the second straight week, Crowe drove three winners on the Sunday card, also repeating with Saunders' Good Night Hanover and scoring with another Pam Moore trainee, Fedora. He will enter next weekend's harness racing program needing just two more wins to reach the 1,000 career milestone mark.
