Boknows Momngranny delivered on his pari-mutuel promise, turning back all challengers to win the featured $7,000 Preferred 3 Pace at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night.
Slight 3-2 favourite Boknows Momngranny established the lead from post three and fought off the parked out My Man Charley and the wide-rallying Cheyenne Ford into the stretch for the 1:55 victory. Justa Camilion followed the winner one and a half lengths behind in second off a pocket trip while Cheyenne Ford edged out My Man Charley four lengths back in third.
The seven-year-old Bo Knows Jate gelding is owned by driver James MacDonald, trainer Johnathan McKinnon and partner Ken Fitzgerald. He was claimed for $8,000 on March 29 at Flamboro Downs and has since earned two wins in three starts for his new connections, including a career-best 1:53.4 score at Woodbine Racetrack.
