Truro Raceway is introducing a free Survivor Contest for each of its 26 race cards this season, with the prize being a $100 deposit into the winners' HPIbet.com account.
The contest gives fans the chance to select a horse in each race who they feel will finish in the top three. If the horse selected does finish top three, the fan moves to race two and if their horse is top three again, they move on until there is only one survivor. The lone survivor wins the prize.
“We’re really pleased to introduce this free contest to our loyal fans and we hope they will enjoy it and play it regularly," said Steve Fitzsimmons, General Manager at Truro Raceway. "I know fans at my previous track were really enthusiastic about being a part of it. We will also be updating how many people are still left in the contest throughout the race card. It gives it a real interactivity with our fan base and I’m looking forward to having it be a part of our season.”
Fans will be able to make their selections on an entry form on the track’s website at truroraceway.ca once the program is made available and fans can enter right up until post time of the first race. The contest will be introduced at Truro’s first race card of the season, which is on Sunday, May 7, with a post time of 1 p.m. Atlantic or 12 noon Eastern.
