The last few seasons have been memorable ones for teamster Jason Bartlett, who is one of the most sought after names in Yonkers Raceway's
driving colony.
In addition to leading all reinsmen at that venue he had the honour of representing his country at last year’s World Driving Championship in Norway and he was one of a select few sports figures to earn the Thurman Munson Award – given to accomplished athletes who give back to their community.
Bartlett had the chance to rub elbows with some big name athletes when he received that award, and one of those is considering horse ownership.
Joba Chamberlain, one of the most talented hurlers in the stable of the New York Yankees’ bullpen, met Bartlett that night and the two of them talked about a number of things including horses.
