Colin Johnson nearly had a perfect night with his troops at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Thursday, as the conditioner watched his quartet of campaigners chalk up three wins and a second-place finish.

Johnson watched Special ADGM take home the runner-up award in Thursday’s third race, but from that point on it was nothing but victory lane for the Johnson starters.

Largo Hall was the first to strike for Johnson, who watched Stephane Gendron guide the Mcardle gelding to a 1:57.4 triumph in the fifth race. Lychee was solid gold in the very next race, winning in a time of 2:02.2 for Johnson and driver Stephane Brosseau.

Brosseau also clicked with the Johnson-trained Punkindoodle in the tenth race. The daughter of Artiscape rallied to win in a time of 1:57.3.

Throughout the course of his career, Johnson has sent out close to 12,000 starters for more than 2,700 wins. His lifetime purse haul currently sits at just over $22.5 million, and his career UTR is up to .362 thanks in part to Thursday’s three-win performance.
