Ladys Dude attacked the leader, Classicality, near the three-quarters and drew away from him late to capture Monday’s $20,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Ladys Dude was third when Dave Palone tipped him off the cones and asked him for trot. The seven-year-old Victory Sam-Ladys Star gelding dueled with Classicality through mid-stretch before putting him away, downing Classicality by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:53.2. Early leader Wind Of The North was third.
Ron Burke trains Ladys Dude, who now boasts $680,258 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder.
