Nanticoke Racing and Jim Morand’s Shark Ingested was a well backed winner in the featured $18,000 Open Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:53.4.
Driven by co-owner Morand, race favourite Shark Ingested set the pace after seizing control from Main A Dieu Too early and dictating fractions of :28, :56.2 and 1:25.2. Those two rivals were joined by Fissato late, who finished third as Shark Ingested was an open length winner.
Trained by Les Givens, it was the 13th career win in 63 lifetime starts for the five-year-old Cams Card Shark gelding. Shark Ingested paid $4.80.
Three-time defending driving champ Ross Wolfenden had three winners on the program.
