NAADA Trots To Krivelin, Ehrenberg

After reining Whitaker Blue Chip to victory in Monticello Raceway’s Passover Pace on Thursday afternoon, Bob Krivelin traveled to Yonkers Raceway and drove his trotter Ace High Hall to a gate-to-wire victory in 2:04

in the first division of the fourth leg of the North American Amateur Drivers Association’s trotting series.

A second split saw Dave Ehrenberg II rein Ed Mason’s Yankee Coburn to a 2:03:4 triumph. Ace High Hall finished three lengths ahead of Tremendous Hit and Bob Hechkoff while Dave Offenberg took home the show dough with Double Strength.

In his division Ehrenberg sat back off the pace and made his move at the leaders after the three quarters and in the lane his Yankee Coburn was the strong horse and overtook S A Poster Boy and Dave Yarock who cut the fractions. Muscles Malone ended up third for Peter Gerry.

But for Bob Krivelin it was a day to remember; not so much as driving two winners that day but having a victory at two different racetrack, and one with a pacer and the other with a trotter. And after the races which were presented before the betting card, when a group went to dinner at a restaurant on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx Krivelin won another thing - the dinner cheque!

The fifth and final leg of the NAADA trotting series will be contested at Monticello Raceway on Thursday, April 28.
