Green Racing and Meadowbranch Stables’ Batalj Launcher ($4.60, Brad Hanners) earned his 40th career win in his Harrington Raceway debut Wednesday by capturing the $18,000 Junior Open Trot
in 2:00.
The Josh Green trainee has won nearly half of his 85 career starts earning $392,236. Hanners gave the 11-year-old Tap In gelding a two-hole trip behind pacesetting Jeter Marvel and utilized the passing lane to win over the sloppy track.
Gurf finished second and Spunky Vic was placed third from fourth after Jeter Marvel was disqualified for interference.
It was the first career start at Harrington for Batalj Launcher.
Drivers George Dennis, Tony Morgan, Roger Plante Jr. and Ross Wolfenden each won two races on the program.
