Hundred Dollar Man improved to two-for-two at Harrington Raceway this year with a wire-to-wire triumph in the $27,397 Delaware Special Handicap Pace on Monday, April 20.
The five-year-old Lather Up-Whirl The Girl gelding assumed command from post three early for Montrell Teague, put up fractions of :27.1, :55.4 and 1:24.3 and fought off a fierce charge from Stevens Saloon (Jason Thompson) to win by a length in 1:52.2. Captaincountrystar (Pat Berry) was third.
Hundred Dollar Man achieved his third win of the season in 13 starts for trainer Clyde Francis and owner/breeder Brenda Teague Inc. The gelding paid $4.80 to win.
My Miki Beach ($7.60, Troy Beyer) was a 1:55.1 winner in the sub-featured $24,658 Open II Handicap Pace for owner Bob Bailey and trainer Ryan Bailey. The seven-year-old son of Always B Miki-One For The Beach was on top through splits of :28.1, :57.4 and 1:27.2 and held off Stunners Wish (Tony Morgan) for the half-length win. On The Cards N (Russell Foster) completed the ticket. The winner is now four-for-13 on the year.
Joe Columbo led the trainers with three wins on the 14-race program. After winning the seventh race with Aloha Blue Chip ($5), Columbo swept the late double with Back Pocket Miki ($3.80) and Hurrikane Miki ($3.40). All three were driven by Mike Cole. Columbo doubled his 2026 tally at Harrington and leads the trainers' standings by a win over Chuck Crissman Jr.
Driver Art Stafford Jr. had four wins on the card, including a pair for Crissman. Teague and Russell Foster each had driving doubles.
