Native Dream made up two lengths in the Lightning Lane to capture her second straight victory in Friday’s second leg of the My Drag Queen Pace at The Meadows.

In the other $12,500 division of the series for three-year-old fillies, R Marie Hanover overcame post nine to notch her second consecutive series win.

Native Dream saved ground for most of the mile, but when Brett Miller turned her loose late, she easily overtook the leader, Mattwestern, and defeated her by two lengths on a “good” surface in 1:55.4. Dragons Tale finished third. Jim Dailey trains the daughter of Allamerican Native-Eternal Optimism, who has won five of eight lifetime starts, for Pacey Mindlin and Kenneth Cohen.

R Marie Hanover vaulted to the lead for Greg Grismore before yielding to the pocket behind Save My Dragon. The daughter of Somebeachsomewhere-R Ellen Hanover was strongest in the stretch, downing the rallying Doubelieveinmagic by a head in 1:56.2. Save My Dragon saved show. Norm Parker trains R Marie Hanover for Megan Rogers.
