Via release today, the National Capital Regional Harness Horse Association has said that NCRHHA officials contacted the Ontario Racing Commission
today and there has been no application for race dates for 2009 at the old Belleville facility.
Several weeks ago, Baymount Incorporated agreed to apply for 17 race dates in 2009, beginning May 15.
The NCRHHA has not been able to reach Baymount for an update on the status of this application.

NCRHHA was advised by many that they were chasing ghosts with Baymount, but persisted in dealing with them anyway. Time and effort would be better spent helping someone who really will go ahead with racing in Belleville.
