TSM Photo Bugger stung Hava Kadabra to the quarter before yielding to the pocket, then blew by him late to capture Tuesday’s $20,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Leaving from post six, TSM Photo Bugger was able to get the jump on Hava Kadabra starting from post eight, keeping him parked throughout the opening panel. That was the edge the six-year-old SJs Photo-Rewarding Wink gelding needed, as he brushed late for Mike Wilder to score in 1:55.2 at a healthy 5-1. Y Dat rallied for second, while the 3-5 favourite, Hava Kadabra, saved show.
Jan Fread trains TSM Photo Bugger, who now boasts $284,183 in career earnings, for owner/breeder Ted Tomson.
Brett Miller drove three winners on the 15-race card.
