Kurt Sugg recorded the 2,000th win of his driving career while driving RUA Looker in Northfield Park’s 12th race on Tuesday, April 17

.

The duo went off as the 2-5 betting choice and took the lead right off the gate. The pair never had an anxious moment at any point in the mile and won by one and a quarter lengths as they stopped the clock in 2:01.4.

Sugg, 42, also co-owns and trains the 10-year-old son of Ilookelikemymom. The win marked the sixth victory of 2012 and the 49th of RUA Looker's career.

After having just missed notching the milestone win in two other races on the evening, Sugg stated, “I am really happy to have reached 2,000 wins, and it feels really good to have done it with my own horse.”

Sugg's first win came with Mountain Director at the Hancock County Fair in Findlay, Ohio when he was a mere 16 years old.
