Rodney Long’s Bad Rusty earned his third win of the year thanks to a 1:53.2 triumph in Monday’s featured $23,000 Open at Harrington Raceway

Bad Rusty, a five-year-old Badlands Hanover gelding put together a fierce rally for driver Ross Wolfenden approaching three-quarter pole and surged by leader Solano in the stretch for the one-length win. Dontloseyourdayjob rounded out the top three.
Sent off at odds of 3-1, the Joe Hundertpfund, Jr. trainee has now banked more than $50,000 in 2010. The victory was one of three on the program for driver Ross Wolfenden.
The Monday program also saw Elizabeth Brittingham’s Art Gram capture the $19,500 Junior Open in 1:53.4 for driver Bret Brittingham. It was the pacer’s third straight win.
