Right Match teamed up with Tyler Jones to take her second straight win in the Ontario Sired Spring Series for pacing fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday, April 18. The second leg of the series for both sophomore trotting and pacing fillies each went for an $18,000 purse.

Jones sent the Bob McIntosh student to the top from post six and they cleared the opening panel in :28.1 and half in :57.2. Always A Catch (Louis-Philippe Roy) took command en route to the three-quarters in 1:24.3 and Right Match continued the final panel in the pocket trip. The pair of fillies battled down the stretch and Right Match pushed just enough to win by a half length in 1:53. Always A Catch had to settle for second and Le Bec Fin (Austin Sorrie) completed the triactor.

Robert McIntosh Stables Inc., Dr. David Fisher and Ian Fisher co-own the sophomore Sportswriter-Eve Of The Ball filly, who earned her third career tally in nine starts. She equalled her mark set in last week's series split. Right Match paid $3.10 as the bettors' choice.

Kinnder Hotblood took the split for trotting fillies with James MacDonald in the bike for Matthew Bax.

MacDonald and Kinnder Hotblood got away sixth off the car, maintaining pylon position through the quarter in :27.3 and half in :56.4. Kinnder Hotblood tipped to the outside as they approached the 1:26.3 three-quarters, but continued in sixth. The filly chipped away at the leading All Out Marilyn (Roy) through the final panel. Down the lane, Billie Jean Queen (Sylvain Filion) popped from the pocket and joined the sprint to the wire. With a :27.4 final quarter of her own, Kinnder Hotblood won by a half length in 1:55.1. Billie Jean Queen took second with All Out Marilyn third.

Bax Stable, David Hudson, Gaelic Stable 2 and The Cavalier Stable own the three-year-old daughter of Kadabra and the Majestic Son mare Her Name Is Lola. She earned her second career victory in eight tries. Kinnder Hotblood returned $7 as the second choice in the mile.

The Ontario Sired Spring Series is open to Ontario-sired sophomore trotters and pacers that were non-winners of $30,000 in 2023. The second leg for sophomore colts and geldings will be held on Friday, April 19. The $40,000 final for both the males and females will be contested on Saturday, April 27.
