It has been announced that the Tioga Downs Casino generated $6.1 million in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013, an increase of two per cent.
In a report which heavily cites the benefit of the casino revenue for its host municipality, Jeff Gural, chairman of American Racing and Entertainment was quoted as saying, “Thanks to the continued support of our patrons and community, we are proud to announce a banner year for Tioga Downs Casino.”
The article explains that more than $23.7 million was generated for education during the fiscal year -- an increase of three per cent compared to the prior fiscal year.
“We look forward to another successful year of making a positive contribution to our community,” Gural was quoted as saying.
