A capacity crowd filled the grandstand of Harrington Raceway Sunday night as the track’s 64th season of live harness racing began with a 15-race program
.
Reigning driving champion Tony Morgan picked up where he left off with three wins on the program, while past champ Brad Hanners returned with a bang, also registering a hat trick. Meanwhile, 2009 Harrington leading trainer Tim Crissman, earned a win in the tenth race with Definitely Maybe.
In the featured $25,000 claiming event, Roger Plante’s Jezal Theory A ($14.60, surged late to pick up a victory in 1:56.1.
Racing will continue on a Sunday through Thursday schedule. Post time is 5:30 p.m.
