J.R. Plante put the pedal to the metal with Twin B Inspiring in Saturday’s $10,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 at Flamboro Downs, and the speedy distaffer went down-the-road for a triumph in 1:53.4.
Twin B Inspiring shot to the lead from Post 3 in the six-mare affair, and after whacking out panels of :27.2, :56.1 and 1:25 she used a :28.4 closing quarter to win by three-quarters of a length over Cant Stop. Taking home third prize was Mappos Moenhay.
Isaac Waxman trains the six-year-old Camluck-Impeccant miss for Plante and partner Tess Mauro of Ridgeville, Ont. The mare owns a 6-for-12 record this season and a bankroll that stands at $47,580. The 14-time winner pushed her lifetime earnings to $117,624 with the victory.
