Camps Bay pulled off the biggest upset so far at Mohawk Racetrack's new meet as she won a four-way finish in the Friday night (April 15) finale.

After following along in seventh-place throughout the $18,000 fillies and mares pace for non-winners of two or $45,000 lifetime, Camps Bay rallied home late on the far outside to edge out Shadows Mystery (10-1) and Twin B Sweetheart (9-1) by a nose, with Machmeter (8-1) just a half-length behind. Luxury Vacation (28-1) finished fifth to complete the winning Jackpot Hi-5 combination of 9-8-2-5-3 that paid $2,211.58 for a 20-cent based wager. With multiple winning tickets, the Jackpot Hi-5 will feature a carryover of $69,246.74 on Saturday night.

Sent postward at odds of 22-1, Camps Bay was the highest paying winner through the first six race days of the Mohawk meet, although opening night did produce a 20-1 upset when sophomore trotter Summajestic broke his maiden in the second race. Camps Bay returned $46.40 for a $2 Win ticket.

Eric Adams trains the four-year-old Major In Art mare, who was driven to victory by Rick Zeron. The Millar Farms homebred matched her 1:54.4 lifetime mark that she had taken in her only other win this year on March 10 at Woodbine Racetrack. Camps Bay now has three wins in 27 career starts and earnings of $52,120.
