Jerseylicious won for the seventh straight time in 2013, conquering a group of three-year-old fillies in a $15,000 division of the Bobby Weiss Series Tuesday evening at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Tuesday night.
Jerseylicious, a daughter of Western Ideal-Jet Lag N, dominated her division winning in 1:52 for the duo of driver Corey Callahan and trainer Wayne Givens. She is poised to be a heavy favourite in next week’s Weiss final. Art Ideal finished second and My Sweet Mandy picked up the show.
In the night’s other Weiss division, American In Paris and driver Matt Kakaley went gate to wire in 1:52.3 defeating O Narutac Rockette and Ideal Ginny third. Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC share ownership on the daughter of American Ideal-Sendingforth), who resides in the stable of trainer Ron Burke.
