Harrington Raceway will open for its 64th season of live racing Sunday, April 19 with a new first race post time of 5:15 p.m.

Harrington will operate live racing on a Sunday through Thursday schedule until July 2. There will be one day of live racing during the Delaware State Fair on July 30, before the regular schedule resumes on August 16 through October 29.

As is customary for opening night, there will be a hat giveaway (while supplies last) beginning at 4:45 p.m. Sunday will be accompanied by a family fun day, which will include pony rides and face painting. A well-known Lone Ranger impersonator will be available for pictures in the grandstand. There will be a contest held every Monday for a $100 gas card.

Harrington's 2008 leading driver, Tony Morgan, and leading trainer, Tim Crissman, will be back in action along with many other top pilots and conditioners. Morgan is approaching his 13,000th career win. Several other driver milestones are within reach for the Harrington meet including the 1,000 win mark for drivers Corey Callahan and Brandon Givens. Jim Morand is approaching 8,000 career wins.

Eliminations for Harrington's signature event, the Bobby Quillen Memorial Pace, will take place October 19. The final will be contested October 26.
