The operators of Dirty Jerseys Sports Grill in Windsor, Ont. have reached a two-year simulcasting agreement with the Woodbine Entertainment Group. Early reports indicate that the venture has been strong out of the gate.
As an article by The Windsor Star explains, Dirty Jerseys’ operators, Rob Miller and Mike Duval, have said that the undertaking has been better than expected to this point.
The report states that simulcasting is available seven days a week and that the betting lounge attracted 90 customers on a Saturday evening earlier this month.
Miller was quoted as saying, “We like the idea and thought it would give us more of a crowd on some off nights and utilize a room that’s not nearly as busy as the other side of the bar.”
The article states that Dirty Jerseys is planning an official grand opening of its simulcasting area in May.
