According to a release from the Television Games Network, the Woodbine Entertainment Group has commented on how its relationship with the Betfair-owned TVG has been a boon to both its overall live standardbred and
thoroughbred handles.
"We are delighted that TVG recognizes the quality of Woodbine and Mohawk racing and have chosen to showcase our races again this year,” Steve Koch, WEG vice president, Thoroughbred Racing, was quoted as saying. “The exposure we received on TVG last year was a key contributor to Woodbine's success and one of the reasons why Woodbine was able to grow its handle in a declining market."
Koch's comments came via a release from TVG which announces the fact that the company will be airing exclusive coverage from three of North America’s premier thoroughbred racing venues, Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky and Hollywood Park near Los Angeles.
The TVG Network is an interactive horse racing network which combines live, televised coverage from over 100 of the world's premier racetracks and allows viewers to make wagers from home either online, by phone, mobile phone and, where available, using a set-top remote control.
