Jody Jamieson, the nation's leading driver for wins and money, enjoyed another five-win performance at Flamboro Downs on Saturday
afternoon's 11-race program.
This past Tuesday, April 7, the hot-handed reinsman worked out five winning trips during Georgian Downs' 12-race program.
Today at Flamboro, Jamieson began his winning crusade in the card’s opener with Winbak Spirit for trainer Mike Robblee, winning by over five lengths in 2:00.3. The resident of Cambridge, Ont. then drove back-to-back winners in the fifth and sixth races; Whispering Hope in 1:59.2 for Gord Ford and Classic Commotion in 2:03 for Robert Hummel.
Jamieson also guided Ahead Ofthe Curve to victory in 1:56.3 in Race 8 for Blair Burgess before closing out the card with a seven length score aboard the Melville Gilles trained Dragons Be Gone in 1:58.1.
Double J’s five bagger bumped his yearly win total to 181. So far in 2009, he has banked over $1.8 million in purses. With a sum of 4,457 victories under his belt, Jamieson has earned over $56.1 million in purses throughout his career.
