After having won in each of her last four starts one would think Missnamaras would be the talk of the toteboard in her Thursday evening assignment at Woodbine
Racetrack – au contraire.
The streaking six-year-old did extend her win streak, and to her loyal pari-mutuel backers she returned a handsome return of $13.10 for every $2 win wager.
Missnamaras, in her customary fashion, was allowed to settle off the early speed as per the instructions of driver Randy Waples. The Shawn Robinson pupil caught cover as the field marched across the backstretch and she powered off that cover en route to posting a career-best clocking of 1:52.3.
Gerrie Tucker of Montreal, QC holds the ownership papers on the daughter of Mattnamaras Band. The victory helped the mare push her 2010 record to 8-4-0 in just 13 trips postward. She has banked more than $174,000 to date.
