Majestic Marvel upset in the Winners Over/Select Trot at Dover Downs on Tuesday night (March 9).
On a warm night with temperatures in the mid 60’s, the two speed horses in the race finished first and second.
Bluebird Jesse muscled his way to the top and Majestic Marvel retreated to the pocket. Bluebird Jesse was able to set uncontested fractions of :28 to the quarter and :57.1 to the half.
Swan Legacy pulled off the pylons from sixth before the half. Pat Berry hustled Swan Legacy first over and pressured Bluebird Jesse to the three-quarters in 1:25.1
At the top of the stretch, Swan Legacy weakened and Perfect Stick circled three wide, but was unable to gain any ground. At the seven-eighths pole, Corey Callahan and Majestic Marvel found a seam in the open stretch and surged past Bluebird Jesse at the wire to win by a neck in 1:53.2.

Bluebird Jesse, the 1/5 favourite, lost in the photo and finished second for trainer Jim King Jr. Tim Tetrick drove. Whimzical Chapter was third for trainer Josh Green. Victor Kirby drove.
