Last through the first half-mile, driver J.R. Plante had to keep on moving for a chance to win Flamboro Downs' $7,500 Preferred 3 on Saturday night...and that's just what he did, sending trotter Igottokeeponmoving wide to circle the field.
Plante tipped Igottokeeponmoving third over into the outer flow at the half and sent him wide down the backstretch en route to the 1:59.2 triumph over the "good" track. Igottokeeponmoving passed Alexander Lukas in the final strides for his first win of the year while Stolen Goods completed the top three finishers in the 10th race feature. The winner paid $7.90 as the 9-5 second choice in the field that was scratched down to six starters.
Joe Pereira trains the six-year-old son of Angus Hall, who is owned by 6824871 Canada Inc. of Gatineau, Que. Saturday night marked the 14th time the gelding has visited the winner's circle in his career.
