Mustang Art shot to the top from his pole position perch and led the field through fractions of :26.2, :54.2 and 1:22.1 before using a :28.4 closing panel to seal the deal by three-quarters of a length over race favourite Rustys All In. Fancyfreeshark was parked every step of the mile and finished third. Time for the mile was 1:51.
