It has been reported that the public could play a key role in the possibility of expanded racino gaming coming to racetracks in the state of Minnesota
.
An article by the Forest Lake Times has cited area politicians Representative Bob Dettmerand and Senator Ray Vandeveer as saying that the only way they will adjust their anti-racino stance is if the residents of Columbus and Forest Lake prove they want them to, via referendum.
“They know where I stand on the gambling issue,” Dettmer said of his opposition to expansion of gambling.
