Trainer Carmen Auciello collected four victories on the 10-race card at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (March 6) including a victory in a co-featured $26,000 conditioned pace with Ivana Flybye N.
Away fourth to a :27.2 quarter, Ivana Flybye N edged off the pegs and swept to the lead moving to a :56.1 half. Westbeach tracked her first-over swoop and raced uncovered to press Ivana Flybye N to three-quarters in 1:24.1. Ivana Flybye N gained separation on Westbeach into the stretch and cruised to the finish from there, passing the beam one-and-a-half lengths better than late-closing Swift Ally in a 1:52.1 mile. Westbeach settled for third.
Owned by MT Stables Ontario Inc., Ivana Flybye N won her 15th race from 49 starts, earning $169,645. Jody Jamieson drove the $4.40 winner.
Ivana Flybye N was the second victory on the evening for Auciello. He scored in the opener with Lady Rocknrolla A ($3.60), won later on the card with Military Secret ($2.90) and took the nightcap with Points North ($3.00).
In the other $26,000 pacing feature, Rockme Rollme ripped to the front past the quarter and held firm to the finish to win in 1:52. The five-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding tracked Legion Seelster's move to the lead passing a :27.1 first quarter and promptly took over command. Rockme Rollme raced uncontested to a :56.2 half and cruised into the final turn while East End popped off the pylons from fourth to challenge the leader. Turning away that rival, Rockme Rollme spun into the stretch to then hold off the charge of Nocturnal Blue Chip to win by a head. Legion Seelster finished just in behind to take third.
Owned by Albina Montini, Kwong Sum Low, Vincent Albanese and Joseph Rogers, Rockme Rollme won his 14th race from 51 starts, earning $288,218. Jody Jamieson also drove the $4.60 winner for trainer Anthony Montini.
