Copper Harbor Wins; Five For Callahan

Copper Harbor won for the second time in his last three starts taking the featured $16,500 4&5-Year-Old trot on Saturday, March 6 at Dover Downs while meet-leading driver Corey Callahan had five winners

Patience paid off for Carlo Poliseno. The trainer-driver sat second behind Janco (Kim Vincent) from after the start until turning for home. The CR Commando-CR Penny Lane four-year-old mare raced past the leader to an easy 1:59 triumph in the feature race. Owned by Poliseno and Brigitta Moulson, Copper Harbor is now two-for-five in starts this meet. She has now banked $126,554 lifetime. Iron Will (Roger Plante) was the third place finisher.

Cory Callahan took care of the next two races driving back-to-back successes. Gone To Rehab had just enough to edge Sonador (Brad Hanners) at the wire in 1:56.4 to win a Delaware $15,000 4&5-Year-old Mares pace. Cest Si Bon (Jack Parker Jr.) was third. The win was the second in three starts and third in five for the I Am A Fool-Rowdy Angel four-year-old and the second win for owners Foulk Stables and Brit Evans, and a double for trainer Evans.

Nick Callahan and John Swart's Music Man NZ was Corey Callahan's winner in a $14,000 Male pace. The Dream Away-Sing Softly gelding chalked up a 1:53.3 decision, his first win of the year. Fresco Blue (Mike Cole) was runner-up. The Other Cheek (Tony Morgan) finished third.

Corey Callahan had five wins in total. It was a double for drivers Mike Cole and Art Stafford Jr. and for trainer Brit Evans, and a double for owners Evans and Foulk Stables.
