Seven-year-old trotting mare Whybabywhy got loose when warming up after the first race on Friday's card at Yonkers Raceway but was eventually corralled and managed to avoid serious injuries

According to reports from Yonkers, Whybabywhy ran a few laps around the half-mile oval before charging down the paddock ramp at top speed. Whybabywhy sustained a few minor cuts but appeared to be happy and playful following the incident.
Whybabywhy, who is owned and trained by Tyler Raymer of New Ringold, Pennsylvania, was scratched from her fourth race assignment.
In other action, Park Avenue ($6.70) converted from the pocket to win Friday's $32,500 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace by one and three-quarter lengths in 2:01 over pacesetter Symphony In Motion (Jeff Gregory). Bling (Eric Goodell) was third. The six-year-old daughter of Keystone Raider is trained by Amber Buter and owned by driver Tyler Buter, Lynette Buter, and Eugene Oldford.
A two-hole trip also worked out to Mystical Starlight's ($19.20) advantage in the Open Handicap Trot. Driven by Eric Goodell, the Jeffrey Webster trainee, a six-year-old daughter of Credit Winner, stopped the clock in 2:03.3, winning by one length over Trottin Troy (Jim Pantaleano) and pacesetter Friendly Amigo (Jason Bartlett). Glen Hobin of Stittsville, Ont. owns the winner, who surpassed $300,000 in career earnings.
