Yesterday, Kentucky's House Licensing and Occupations Committee approved a bill that would allow The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission to regulate training centres and license account wagering companies.
In addition, the Courier-Journal has also reported that house speaker Larry Clark said he was dropping two other bills that could have provided funding for the commission. The funding would've come via the taxing of telephone and online wagers by Kentucky customers of account wagering companies, and by raising pari-mutuel takeouts and taxes.
