So Much More continued her reign as the top distaffer in the Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday night (March 4), streaking to her third straight victory.
Reuniting with regular reinsman James MacDonald for this week's $32,000 assignment, So Much More set out for the the lead from the outside post six and clocked fractions of :27.2, :56.2 and 1:24.4 before kicking away from her foes down the stretch to score in 1:52.1. Finishing two lengths behind the winner, Lauras Love (Bob McClure) sprinted home from the outer flow to snag the runner-up honours over Swift Ally (Trevor Henry) and Trafalgar (Jonathan Drury).
So Much More returned $2.60 to win as the heavy 1-5 favourite.
Don Beatson trains the six-year-old Big Jim mare, who picked up her 44th career win and lifted her bankroll to $876,000, for partners Kenneth Beatson and Cole England.
