Imma Be shed cover at the three-quarters and rolled to his fourth consecutive victory in Friday’s (March 4) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned pace.
Imma Be began the season with a pair of off-the-board finishes at Yonkers and the Meadowlands. But since trainer Ron Burke brought him to The Meadows, he’s been untouchable. The four-year-old Racing Hill-Catch Me Katie gelding scored in a career-best 1:51.2 for Ronnie Wrenn Jr., two lengths better than Carolina Beach, with Like A Shadow third.
Ben Mondello campaigns Imma Be, who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $107,620.
Hunter Myers piloted four winners on the 11-race card.
Friday’s Super Hi-5 jackpot fell, returning $23,162.40 for the sole winning ticket.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday when the 11-race program features an $18,507.99 carryover in the Jackpot Pick 5 (race four). First post is 12:45 p.m.
