At its meeting on February 25, 2016, the Board of the Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) gave The Raceway at Western Fair District approval to extend a variance to the Rules of Standardbred Racing 2012.
Rule 14.12 limits the number of trailers in overnight races to one. This variance will allow The Raceway at Western Fair District (WFD) to add two trailers in two races per race card. It is also permitted to distribute purse monies to sixth place for the two races per race card that carry the extra trailers.
