Cam Patch Wires Open Pacers At Buffalo

Cam Patch was a dominant wire-to-wire winner in the featured $10,000 Open Pace at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night

Cam Patch ($6.80) leaving from Post 5 in the field of eight and driven by Shawn Gray, shot right to the lead and set all the fractions in the race, :28.4, :58, and 1:27. A :28.4 last quarter-mile put the winner over four lengths ahead of second-place finisher Nifty Prescott (Ray Fisher, Jr.) at the finish line in 1:55.4. Golden Terror (Dan Noble) came in the show spot. It was the third win this season for Cam Patch, whose winning time was just a tick off his season’s best.

The seven-year-old Cambest gelding out of the Falcon Seelster mare Miss A Kiss is trained by Alex Giuliani for owners David P. Ball and Jerry R. Reinhart, both of Batavia New York.

The victory was number 23 for Cam Patch, who has won $169,031 in his career.
