very pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Webster as Sales Consultant to all future SC horse sales.
“When a person of Brian Webster’s calibre became available, we felt it was a win/win opportunity for us to add depth to our sales team. Heather and I have worked with Brian for many years as a consignor, buyer, friend and sales competitor. We are well aware of his vast horse sales experience and integrity within the industry. It is important that SC develop closer personal contact with our customers who include breeders, consignors and buyers,” commented Smith.
“Brian brings high professional credentials and can assist SC as it moves forward with its horse sales by providing SC with a presence at racetracks, training centres and breeding farms and assisting us in obtaining consignors and horses for our sales,” added Smith.
Heather Reid advised that Webster will visit all consignors of yearlings to the Canadian Open Sale to review their consignment. “This will give us an assessment of their quality for future marketing purposes,” commented Reid.
Webster stated, “My job is to talk to as many people as I can about their horses. I will personally see each yearling and give breeders my thoughts and opinions and will be speaking with buyers, trainers and owners to get their feedback.
"Also, I will be reminding everyone of Standardbred Canada’s new permanent sales facility at Flamboro Downs. It is first rate and a great location and SC’s flat rate entry fee is the best bargain around for consignors. I have observed first hand how Heather Reid and her staff manage the Sales Department with professional, cool efficiency and I couldn’t be more pleased to be joining their team.”
