According to an article today by The Toronto Star, light rail transit could be coming to Woodbine Racetrack in the future via an extension starting from the Finch West LRT.
The erection of the Finch West LRT is expected to commence in 2010, one of seven proposed lines to be built
The extension to Woodbine is currently seen as a secondary element of the system that would be built after the core route is up and running.
