Refreshed by an easy second quarter, A Fair Ol Dance N drew away from the field and scored under wraps in the $19,300 Open Handicap Pace on Friday (March 3) at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
A Fair Ol Dance N reached the top in a contested :26.3 opening panel over a sloppy surface. But when Ronnie Wrenn gave him that :30.1 second-quarter breather, the eight-year-old A Rocknroll Dance-Presidential Affair gelding opened a 1-1/2 length lead at the three-quarters and scored comfortably in 1:52.1. Howard Hughes N raced well first over for second, more than two lengths back, while the pocket-sitting Carolina Beach was third.
Ron Burke trains A Fair Ol Dance N, who extended his career bankroll to $228,785, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Kitefield Stable.
Dave Palone and Ridge Warren each piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
Live harness racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday, with first post at 12:45 p.m.
