According to a report, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch has said that he will block a slots bill passed last week by the state Senate
.
Harness Tracks of America has quoted the governor as saying, “I will do what it takes to have it not become law.”
The New Hampshire House still has to pass the bill.
On March 24, after a vote of 14-10, the New Hampshire Senate passed a bill which would allow expanded gambling in the state and pave the way for slot machines and table gaming to be legal at harness racetrack Rockingham Park.
