Stiletto Hall has been unstoppable in recent weeks for trainer/driver Serge Masse
, who watched the seven-year-old son of Blissfull Hall push his win streak to five-in-a-row thanks to his win in Sunday’s $12,000 Open Pace at Fraser Downs.
Masse wasted no time in establishing the lead with the gelding, who hammered out panels of :28.2, :56.4 and 1:25.2 before kicking home in :28.1 to register the 1:53.4 decision. Jaw Dropper enjoyed a pocket trip and finished a head behind the winner, while Trust The Artist was a bang up third.
Stiletto Hall, who was sent off as the 1-2 favourite in the nine-horse affair, has racked up five wins this season for the Alberta partnership of Don M Jr Stables and Don Byrne Stables 2008 Inc.
Trainer/driver Keith Clark had to settle for second in the Open with Jaw Dropper, but he did his fair share of winning on Sunday’s 10-race program.
The veteran horseman celebrated four trips to victory lane thanks to winning efforts with Oblivious Boy (1:55), Westwind Franco (1:57.1), Admired Beauty (1:54.3) and El Rancho Relaxo (1:54.1).
Clark recently celebrated a training milestone when he surpassed $20 million in lifetime earnings.
