After a sale to stateside connections earlier this year, Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Beaumond Hanover put forth a solid effort in his four-year-old debut for his new connections on Saturday (March 27).

Following 4-1/2 months away from the races, the son of Sportswriter made his first 2021 appearance in a qualifying race at Harrah's Hoosier Park. With Trace Tetrick aboard for trainer Jeff Cullipher, Beaumond Hanover sprinted to the lead from post 8, controlled soft early fractions of :29.1, :58.1 and 1:27, and powered away in the stretch with a :26.4 last quarter to defeat stablemate My House by 14-3/4 lengths in 1:53.4.

Beaumond Hanover, whom Cullipher and Pollack Racing LLC purchased this winter out of trainer Jack Darling's stable, banked over $370,000 as a sophomore and was second to Rhythm In Motion in last October's Ontario Super Final.
