Wiggle It Jiggleit and driver Montrell Teague toyed with the foes they faced in Monday’s $60,000 Invitational Handicap at Dover Downs.

The multiple award-winning Wiggle It Jiggleit shot to the top for Teague and carved out panels of :27.1, :56.3 and 1:24.3 before sprinting home in :27.1 to win by a length over Rockeyed Optimist in 1:51.4. Bushwacker took home the show dough in the seven-horse affair.

Clyde Francis trains the four-year-old son of Mr Wiggles-Mozzi Hanover for George Teague Jr Inc and Teague Racing Partnership LLC. It was the 24th lifetime victory for the career winner of $2,265,995.

Monday’s card also featured a set of $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters.

Chipoffthewall was a wire-to-wire winner by 19-1/2 lengths in the opening contest for driver Tony Morgan, Jr. The son of Master Lavec-Off The Wall sliced out splits of :30.4, 1:00.3 and 1:30 before rocketing home in :29.2 to seal the deal in 1:59.2. Mondello was next best, with third prize going to Samuel J.

Sent off as the 1-9 favourite, Chipoffthewall won for the seventh time in his career. The career winner of $111,440 is owned and trained by Syl King, Jr. of New Holland, PA.

Outside The Line pulled off a 15-1 upset in the other division thanks a come-from-behind score. Elton J rolled to the front and was pressed by Bosston Malibu through fractions of :30.1, 1:00 and 1:31. Outside The Line was lurking third on the rail while that battle raged on. Morgan found his charge clearance in the lane, and they only needed a :31.1 closing quarter to register the neck decision over Elton J in 2:02.3. Bosston Malibu was a dead game third.

The first-time starter gave owner/trainer Syl King, Jr. and driver Tony Morgan the sweep of Monday’s DSBF divisions. The gelding is a son of CR Commando-Bonfire Hanover.

Atta Boy Dan got roughed up early in Monday’s $36,000 Open Preferred Handicap for pacers, but that didn’t stop him from nabbing a narrow victory in 1:51.4 for driver Andrew McCarthy and trainer Ron Burke. The pacer, who was charted three-wide at the quarter pole, worked his way to the top and supplied middle fractions of :55.4 and 1:23.3 before using a :28.1 kicker to prevail by a half-length margin over race favourite Jeneral Patton. Smart Rokker was third.

It was the third win of the season – and the 40th to date – for the career winner of $533,142. He is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Bad Boy Matt rallied for a 1:51.1 triumph in the $33,000 Delaware Special for pacers. Allan Davis stalked the speed with Bad Boy Matt through fractions of :27, :55.1 and 1:23 before rushing to the lead in the lane and posting the win. Mustang Art rounded out the Exactor ticket, while veteran pacer Sparky Mark took home third prize.

Wayne Givens trains the six-year-old son of Badlands Hanover-Mattercycle for Legacy Racing Of De Inc and Reginald Hazzard. It was the fourth win of the campaign for the career winner of $308,493.

Wiggle it jiggleit is a very nice horse but in my opinion the chances of him going unbeaten as a 4 yr old is slim and none. There is to much competition from the likes of state treasurer, always b mikki, freaky feet pete, and wakizashi hanover plus there is usually a horse or two that comes out of the blue to go with the top ones mentioned here.

This horse is a gift and racing is fortunate to see him week in and week out. I can see him going undefeated this year. Not sure anyone can stay with him. Great job Teagues. Planning a trip in August to see him in Quebec.
