It has been reported that roughly 30 racehorses were saved from a barn fire, which took place this morning (Friday, March 28) at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.
An article by the Times Union explains that firefighters descended on the New York State track this morning after a wooden barn (Barn 15) caught fire at roughly 6 a.m.
The report states that no horses were injured and the fire was put out by roughly 7 a.m.
The article states that firefighters, horse owners and track security guards helped evacuate the horses to safety.
The report has quoted Saratoga Springs Fire Department Captain Thomas Knight as saying that “the cause (of the blaze) is still under investigation.”
