Start Livin rebounded from his only loss this season last time out with a winning off-the-pace effort in the $13,000 Open Trot at Windsor Raceway on Wednesday evening

With trainer Wayne MacLean in the sulky, the seven-year-old gelding rallied four-wide from third over around the final turn and come on to win by a head in 1:58.4 over Whitesand Diablo (Gene Piroski). Luke But Dontouch (Marc St. Louis Jr.) finished two and three-quarter lengths behind in third. Winzel (Don Rankin Jr.) finished fourth off a pocket trip while favourite Ill Tell You What (Brad Kramer) faded to fifth after winning an early four-horse tussle for the lead and carving out fractions of :28, :58.1, and 1:27.4.
Start Living paid $8.50 to win as the 3-1 third choice. The son of Striking Sahbra out of Merry Legs Hanover has won three of his four races this year for $17,000 in purse earnings. He was claimed off a win in his first start this year on Feb. 29 at Western Fair Raceway for $10,000 before shipping to Windsor for new owners Jocelyne Menard and Sophie Smagac of Chelmsford, Ont.
The 16-time career winner now boasts lifetime earnings totalling $229,338.
