Martys Charm Fashions Front-End Victory

Martys Charm cruised to a front-end victory in the $25,000 Preferred Handicap Pace Friday at The Meadows, lifting his career win percentage to an impressive 48.6 (18 wins in 37 starts)

Randy Tharps gunned Martys Charm to the front, where he easily fended off the first over thrust of Jagger Blue Chip (Dave Palone). The five-year-old gelded son of Aces N Sevens-Bets Mae brushed home in 27.4 to score by 2-1/4 lengths over Pacey Deucey (Tony Hall), who was last at the 3/4 pole. Ridegline (Ed Hensley) used a ground-saving trip to finish third.

Paul Corey trains Martys Charm for Martha and Gerald Baluck of Canfield, Ohio. Dave Palone drove four winners on the 14-race card.
