Enough Talk Speaks Up In Su Mac Lad

Enough Talk [$5.60, $3.00, $2.60] popped out of the pocket in the stretch and easily strode past Likeabatoutahell [$3.40, $2.80] to win the $50,000 second leg of the Su Mac Lad Series on Friday night at the Meadowlands

Prayer I Am [$8.80] sat third the whole way and held off Knight Of Intrigue for the show spot.

Enough Talk trotted the mile in 1:52.1 to win his second start this season with Ron Pierce at the lines. The 2008 Older Trotter of the Year won nine of 25 starts and $851,865 in a globetrotting campaign that took him through five countries last year. He finished third in Sweden's famed Elitlopp and second in the Copenhagen Cup in Denmark.

Domestically, Enough Talk became the first trotter in history to break the 1:50 barrier with a 1:49.3 mile in the Patriot Invitational at Colonial Downs. Peter Kleinhans trains and co-owns the six-year-old Enjoy Lavec gelding with Jerry Silva.

The $130,000 Su Mac Lad Final will be raced on Friday, April 10.

In other trotting action, Lets Get Serious N [$3.20, $2.20, $2.10] scored his third wire-to-wire win in the evening’s $27,500 Preferred Trot for trainer Virgil Morgan and owner Joe Muscara of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania.

Andy Miller took the eight-year-old Sondon gelding to the front from Post 4 then carved out panels of :28, :56.3, and 1:24.3 before kicking home in :27.4 to win in a career-best clocking of 1:52.2.

Focus [$3.00, $2.10] with Tim Tetrick rode the pocket to finish a length and a half back in second while Falls For You [$2.80] and Brians Sears nabbed the show spot.

Lets Get Serious N triumphed for the fifth time this year bringing his yearly earnings to $78,125. The bay’s 26th lifetime score pushed his bankroll over the $300,000 plateau.
